All The Bright Places-Jennifer Niven (Book Review)

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven Jennifer Niven This is an excellently written book which is centered around the importance of mental health. All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven follows the stories of Theodore Finch and Violet Markey. In All the bright places, Finch and Violet cross paths with each other under the unlikeliest of circumstances. I think that makes All the Bright Places such a powerful read is that, in having Violet Markey and Theodore Finch telling the story of this unlikely pairing, Jennifer Niven takes us right inside these two troubled teens heads. Even though All the Bright Places is such a personal book, it is kind of necessary for Jennifer Nivens writing that you need to imagine somebody different from yourself as Violet Markey. At its core--a lot of it--of All the Bright Places is an enthralling romance, focusing on an unlikely but lovable pairing of troubled teens. All the Bright Places is an astonishing book about death, relationships, labels, and m

The Ray Of Light

when the skies turned grey, a ray of light kept my problems at bay.   It brought happiness to me, for the first time, I felt like a bird, so free. this beautiful world's sight, was enough to make the rest of my life bright In the midst of the night,  realizing everything is gonna be  alright from dusk till dawn, I saw that ray with me until,  I realized it was long gone. the ray turned out to be a mortal like me, someone who showed me who I'm supposed to be. -Pritika Dhawan

As I looked from the window of my car, Mountains and trees very far.   Birds chirping, trees swaying,       Children in the garden were playing.   Everything looked small from the mountain, Then god decided to get us wet by a natural fountain.   Then we stopped and had some food, The scenic beauty completely changed my mood.   Then we reached the top, The clouds had no shape, they were a mere gas, With all the happiness I wanted to hop. Up, up in the sky, I felt like a bird who just wanted to fly. -Pritika Dhawan

A Run Through The Beauty Of Nature

The lake was shining during the sunset, Walking slightly in the lake getting my feet wet.   Nearby were some flowers with their fragrance, Seeing them with all my patience.   The birds going back to their homes, There also I saw some garden gnomes.   Feeling the breeze on me, Roaming around so free.   Now it’s time for me to go home, Back to my comfort zone.   -Pritika Dhawan P.S-Sorry for not posting in a while,we both are students and have school.I hope you understand :) \Follow us on Instagram for motivation and more information- POEMSBYTHEDUO

Nadia's Encounter With A Yeti

Nadia - a 16 year old, mirthful girl who loved to play pranks on everybody lived in the chilly, high Himalayas. Once an incident took place in her life which turned out to be unforgettable for her.  It was a frosty morning. Nadia gulped down her warm coffee, sip by sip, as she sat down to watch today’s news. She was amused to know that an unusual, big footprint probably of a Yeti was found in the Himalayas. The exact location was quite far from Nadia’s house but she was familiar with that place. She was also sure that a huge crowd must be waiting there for the yeti to emerge or maybe just observing the footprint to study about it. Well she was absolutely right. Nadia then planned to visit the place and scare away everyone gathered there with her Yeti costume which she had bought for a fancy dress competition held at her school recently.(She was one of those people who didn’t believe in Yetis and all.) She reached the spot, fully prepared, hidden behind a tall pine tree, but the
